HHSinnovates: Six finalists have been selected and we now invite the public to select their favorite innovation Based on the input we received from across HHS, six finalists have been selected, and now for the first time ever, we are inviting the public to select their favorite innovation! That means the public will help determine which of the top six finalists will be selected as the "People's Choice". Public voting is open from September 6 - September 14, 2012. Stakeholders, beneficiaries, friends and others can vote on their favorite innovation by visiting our HHSinnovates public voting website<http://www.hhs.gov/open/initiatives/hhsinnovates/index.html> [the public URL is http://www.hhs.gov/open/initiatives/hhsinnovates/index.html]. A press release about the public voting will be issued tomorrow. In its fifth iteration, the HHSinnovates Program continues to highlight innovative programs and processes developed by HHS staff, often in collaboration with our partners. These new approaches are created to help carry out the Department's mission to: enhance the health and well-being of Americans by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering strong, sustained advances in public health, biomedical research and social services. From an initial 60 projects submitted this round, six have been chosen as finalists based on the HHS community's input. You can now help us to further showcase these exciting HHS innovations by encouraging the public and those we serve to vote on their favorite innovation by visiting the HHSinnovates public voting website<http://www.hhs.gov/open/initiatives/hhsinnovates/index.html> [the public URL is http://www.hhs.gov/open/initiatives/hhsinnovates/index.html] The awards ceremony will be held on September 24th from 11:00 - 11:30 AM and will be telecast. Stay tuned for more details!
