Nine children and three women were among 16 Afghan civilians killed Sunday morning in Kandahar. A U.S. Army soldier is accused of the killing, but no motive had been revealed.. The Afghan Taliban has vowed revenge and it is likely the incident will harm efforts to bring peace between the United States and the Taliban.

Israel last week launched an attack in Gaza to kill the leaders of some of the local rebel cells. In retaliation, Gaza-based terrorists have launched a series of attacks on Israel. But Monday evening, Egyptian diplomats said they'd reached a cease fire deal to be implemented over night.

Saving Face, which premiered on March 8, International Women’s Day, brings international attention to the disturbing phenomenon of acid throwing in Pakistan. The documentary follows three people: Zakia, a 39-year-old acid attack victim, Rukhasana, a 23-year-old woman who was attacked by her husband and his family; and Dr. Mohammad Jawad, a doctor working to heal the faces of injured women.

This is a really cool story you won't want to miss. Few Muslims who go to Mecca each year for The Hajj do so on two feet. And of the few who do, virtually none do so from their homes in Europe. But Senad Hadzic is trying to do just that — walking from Bosnia to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. He left in December and must arrived by the end of October.
